|The Performers present themselves to the world. Spotlights emphasize their sparkle. Rhinestones and satin costumes dazzle the audience.
We are all performers, our public faces are confident, exude well-being and convey success. But the masks have pressure cracks. From behind the beribboned facade leak our human frailties ... envy, greed, fear, illicit sex and anxiety.
Only the animals are not self-conscious. They do not try to impress or please. They live by instinct alone. Sleep, food, sex, warmth and shelter are their natural imperative. The need for status, riches and power are human burdens alone.
